Hello gorgeous readers,
How are you doing during this Covid-19 pandemic? I hope you’re staying safe, and most importantly, SANE! It’s been a week with the kids at home, just one, and “no quiet and no peace make Mama go crazy….” 😉 My kids keep yelling “mom” about a thousand times a day. Imagine a seagull squawking the word mom non-stop. I’m going bananas!
At least I have some good news to share with all of you. Drum roll please, I’ve been recognized as a Book Excellence Award Finalist for my novel She Runs With Wolves in the Fantasy category!
I can’t believe it. For the past three years I’ve been working on my novel, and it really feels good to be recognized after all the hard work. I’ll admit there were days when I wanted to quit, but I’m glad I didn’t. It’s taken me a lifetime to figure out I wanted to be a writer, and it feels even longer to learn how to do it properly, but I stuck with it, and it’s paying off.
To all you authors struggling, don’t stop. Also, remember success can sometimes looks different to what you imagined it to be. I was hoping for something more lucrative, but I’ll be honest these things take time. I’ve spoken to other Indie authors, and your career only really begins on the third novel. YIKES! I better get cracking!
So if you’re like me on your first novel then take the accolades when and where they come. Start on Wattpad, get some author recognition, and build your way up.
You can read my novel on Wattpad. FREE for a limited time.
It’s Mad Max meets Katniss Everdeen from the Hunger Games.
Comment on Wattpad and leave a little star if you like it. They go a long way in an author’s heart.
Psst: Make sure to click on this HOMEPAGE button and join my shenanigans to receive my FREE short stories Futurity: Chronicles of the Future. A bit of a prequel to She Runs With Wolves, and as a BONUS watch the entire short film dedicated to my novel.
I’ll be seeing you in the virtual,
K
