To Wattpad or not to Wattpad, that is the question. We all ask at some point; “Should I post my story on Wattpad?”

Well, after three years of tirelessly working on my novel, I’ve finally taken the jump, the leap, the big skip and posted “She Runs With Wolves” my debut novel on Wattpad for a limited time.

Many have wondered why I’m giving my book away.

No one should work for free…

True, but as an author I also have to contend with the fact that people buy my stuff or not, and the competition is fierce.

Andy Weir, author of “The Martian”. You remember, it was adapted into a feature film.

Well, he posted his novel on his website for free for an entire year.

Okay, okay, I’m no Andy Weir, but it’s worth a try. The world has eight billion people, right?

Why should they waste their money on some unknown like me. My philosophy is show the people what you have, prove to them you know your craft and hopefully they will become your best friend. No? Best friend might be a stretch?

The truth is I don’t know if this will help me build my platform, and I don’t know if this will help me gain readers and sell books. It’s an experiment still in progress. It’s only been a week since I uploaded my first chapter on WATTPAD. I’ll be adding chapter two later today. Rest assured, I will keep you informed on my progress. Stay tuned.

While you’re here, check out my free story 😉 and drop me a line. Did you hate, did you like it? I’d love to hear from you.

I’ll be seeing you in the virtual,

K
